We bought a lot to build our new home and needed someone to clear our lot. This company was recommended to us by facebook. We called them for an estimate and they impressed us with their attention to detail with our plans and ontime appointment for our estimate. We received our estimate within a day. After looking at the estimate we decided to go under contract with them to perform the work. They did our clearing for the home, installed a driveway pipe, and a temporary driveway to access the lot. They were in and out. Came when promised and finished ahead of schedule.
Excellent work and a fair price. Nick and crew solved a driveway drianage problem by grading and installing a larger pipe. If you want somebody easy to deal with and a quality job get DirtWorks of Virginia
Had Nick and his crew come out to prep a building pad for me. Nick was very knowledgeable and respectful. He walked me through the entire process prior to starting. They stripped and hauled topsoil, brought in 698 tons of fill dirt, compacted and made my building pad ready for concrete. Will be using them again for a huge erosion problem we are having.

We live in Williamsburg, VA., and several years ago we noticed a small sink hole in the back of our property. After two years it was getting larger, and so we called York County and Virginia Soil and Water for recommendations on what we could do to fix the problem. No one had an idea what to do, so I started asking for advice from excavation specialist. Short story long, we finally were able to find Nick Crane with Dirtworks of Virginia. Right from the beginning we knew he knew what he was doing. He had a plan, solution for permits from York County, and how he was going to navigate around in our yard to move tons (yes tons) of Rip/Rap into sink hole are after preparing and excavating the area carefully. We couldn't believe how methodically he and his crew unloaded the riip/rap and soil in order to re-landscape the entire area. If you have an issue, Nick Crane is the man to call. We were totally impressed with him and his tree crew and the excavating crew which he actually moved earth and rock to finish the job on the schedule he proposed. Five Stars. Nick is who I would highly recommend if you need sink hole or excavation work on your property. Graham Stevens

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great work by DirtWorks of Virginia! I had DirtWorks of Virginia build a gravel pad for my new shed, and they did an awesome job. The crew showed up on time, worked efficiently, and made sure everything was level and compacted just right. The pad looks clean and solid — exactly how I wanted it. They were professional, easy to talk to, and clearly know what they’re doing. It’s nice to see a company take pride in their work these days. I’d definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone around New Kent who needs grading or gravel work done.
