In Williamsburg, beautifying a backyard can completely change how you enjoy your home. These 2 projects show the true power of expert demolition and grading in transforming outdoor spaces into functional and appealing areas.

When it comes to demo, sloping, grading, or leveling a yard, you want to ensure the work is handled with precision. This project demonstrates how critical these aspects are to creating a space that's ready for the next step, be it landscaping or adding outdoor features like decks and gardens.

These 2 Williamsburg backyards are a prime example of how proper grading sets the foundation for all future enhancements. Whether you plan to host family barbecues or simply enjoy a serene retreat, the groundwork we've laid will support numerous possibilities. By trusting us with your demo, grading, and excavation needs, you’re investing in a reliable outcome that stands the test of time.

One of these homes had a dilapidated 30-year-old deck and a pieced together old shed they wanted gone. As we are an expert at design-build they were considering another wooden deck once we demolished this existing one. Seeing as the rear door sat merely 10" or so from ground level, we recommended getting them setup with a local concrete contractor we partner with regularly to come in and pour them a patio instead. The longevity, maintenance, and resale aspect made this an absolute no-brainer for them. We came in and demolished their deck, exported the existing dirt that was contaminated with trash, broken glass, and debris. Imported in 150 tons of sifted topsoil, and then had the concrete contractor come out and do their thing. Once the forms were stripped, we backfilled along the new patio leaving it ready for the homeowner to seed and fertilize to their liking. While on site, the customer also had a broken sewer cleanout, we quickly fixed this as well as we are a total solution for grading and utility work.

The other home had an oddly graded backyard from when it was built around 5-6 years prior. We took this dirt and brought to the house side to allow the customer to build themselves a sunken garden in the lower area and redistributed the dirt along the top of the yard. This developed them a flat area to enjoy family events and to be able to install a playground set for their children.
