We first came out to this Lanexa property earlier in the year to prep the land so the builder could break ground. That work got the site ready - clearing, rough grading, all of it. Then the home went up. A really sharp white farmhouse-style build with a covered front porch and a back deck. Great looking house. But once construction wraps, you're left with a yard that's basically bare dirt and compacted ground from all the equipment traffic.
That's exactly where we came back in. The customer called us again to handle the finish work - regrading the property to get proper drainage and smooth out all the rough spots left behind by the build. Then we brought in topsoil, seeded the whole yard, and laid straw to protect the seed while it gets established.
One thing worth noting - this is a repeat customer. They trusted us with the initial site prep and called us back to close it out. That kind of relationship is something we see a lot at DirtWorks of Virginia. At least once a month, we're doing work for someone who's hired us before. It's the best indicator we know of that the work is being done right.
If you're building a new home in the Lanexa area or anywhere around the 804 or 757, the finish grading and lawn establishment phase matters more than most people realize. Don't leave it as an afterthought. Getting the grade right protects your foundation, your drainage, and your investment in that new build.
