We inherited A MESS on this one stepping in! Transforming rugged and challenging landscapes into functional spaces is no small feat. Every project tests our mettle, but there’s nothing we love more than seeing a job well done. This excavation and grading project in Williamsburg, VA is a testament to our dedication and expertise.

The customer in this scenario had elected to DIY clear the trees leaving quite a mess behind and having someone come in prior and forestry mulch the area before they finished their mass clearing. QUITE A MESS!

But the mess didn't intimidate us. Installing the E&S, construction entrance, and culvert pipe we then jumped right into the mess we inherited! We started with cutting in the right-of-way reducing the 25% grades down to manageable 5-7% grades for the new driveway. Once in the main area of the future home we stacked the clearing debris to one end per customer request and started with performing as much as 12' cuts and 9' fills to balance the dirt on site for a level area in which for them to build their dream home! All using proper compaction equipment and techniques to ensure no issue when it comes time to build the home.

We know the Williamsburg area has some unique landscapes, and it’s a privilege to contribute to its development while safeguarding its inherent beauty. This project was a great reminder of how powerful quality work can be - both for the land and for the customer that will enjoy it.
